From Herat to Milan
Fariha, Oranous, Shahin and Nasima - 4 of the Afghan students who are involved in our Women Journalist project have arrived in Milan. This initiative is the fourth of our project, in collaboration with the Cattolica University of Milan which has supplied 15 female students from the Herat University with the theoretical tolls to realize reports about the Afghans daily lives. The top 4 students from all the participants were chosen by prof. Marco Lombardi to continue their training in Italy. These inspiring reporters have the possibility to learn more about journalism directly with the editorial staff of Corriere della Sera and Avvenire for a few weeks. Lessons at the School of Journalism at the Cattolica University of Milan are also foreseen.
An extraordinary experience which we sincerely hope will not only allow these girls to improve their knowledge but will also enable them to take their newly acquired professional skills back to Afghanistan.
